Guiseppe Dangelico Pino Biography

Born on the cusp of war in Europe , November 8, 1939, Pino Dangelico's childhood memories were of women left behind to keep the home fires burning. His mother, aunts, grandmothers, and cousins became a universe of attractive Italian women in aprons maintaining domestic tranquility in very uncertain times. In 1960 he entered Milans Academy of Brea, which he perfected his talent and skill for painting nudes. His work received critical acclaim in major exhibitions in Italy and throughout Europe.

A visit to New York in 1971 exposed Pino to the museums of New York. In 1978 he returned to U.S. with his wife, Chiara, daughter Paola and son Massimo. Worked on over 3,000 book covers, movie posters and magazine illustrations. In 1994 left illustration behind and began showing his canvases. These met with immediate success among collectors.

He uses a colorful pallet to create tender pleasurable feelings with elements of academic, impressionistic, and abstract painting techniques.
