1849-1893

Born in Freeport , Maine , July 10, 1849. At eighteen he went to Europe, spending some months in study and observation in Great Britain and France . On his return to the States, he established a studio in Boston and became a member of the Boston Art Club.

His speciality was portrait and landscape painting. Grant exhibited at the Boston Art Club (1877-1893), National Academy of Design and the Paris Salons.

He died in 1893.
