Cindy Procious Biography

Born November 13, 1965 in Morristown, New Jersey and moved to Huntsville, Alabama when 4. Graduated S.R. Butler H.S. and attended University of Alabama as art major.

Held jobs in graphic arts field and was named a finalist for 2000 Green Shade Award for Editorial Cartooning. She is married to Clay Bennett, the Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist for Christian Science Monitor, she has three children.

Cindy's paintings are founded on time-honored techniques of the Old Masters of times past. Her keen eye for composition, disposition of light, color and her handling of space set her works apart from the commonplace.

Member of American Society of Portrait artists, The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists and others.
