Born in New York . Received his Bachelors degree from Pace University in New York City . Spent 12 years as a photojournalist traveling the world to cover news events. Turned his attention to painting in 1984.

He adopted the techniques of Old Masters.

A number of awards and special projects mark his recognition in the art field as a foremost contemporary artist
